Illinois SB2944 amends the Nursing Home Care Act to ensure residents with serious mental illness receive a follow-up visit within 60 days of admission and a resident review at the end of 90 days, 6 months, and annually thereafter. The Department of Human Services must ensure there are no conflicts of interest for pre-admission screeners, with a rule allowing waivers if necessary.
