Illinois SB2916 introduces a new section in the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, requiring the Secretary of State to establish standards for collecting personal identification information on forms used by the public to conduct business with the State. This must be completed by January 1, 2027. Subsequently, all State agencies must modify their forms to align with these standards by January 1, 2028. The Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
