SB2913

SCH CD-TEACHER EVALUATION PLAN

Final Passage·5/21/26

Illinois SB2913 amends the School Code to require school districts to incorporate student growth data into teacher evaluations.

Illinois SB2913 amends the School Code to require school districts to incorporate student growth data as a factor in teacher evaluations. The bill mandates that districts use a joint committee, composed of equal representation from the district and teachers, to decide on the incorporation of student growth data. If the committee cannot reach an agreement within 90 days, districts with 500,000 or more inhabitants are not required to implement the model evaluation plan and may implement their last best proposal.
