Illinois SB2913 mandates school districts to incorporate student growth data into teacher evaluations by July 2025.

Illinois SB2913 amends the School Code to require school districts to include student growth data as a significant factor in teacher evaluations. This applies to all teachers, both in and out of contractual continued service. The law mandates that districts incorporate this data by July 1, 2025, in cooperation with teachers or their bargaining representatives. If an agreement cannot be reached and there is no collective bargaining agreement, the student growth component must be removed from the evaluation plan.
