SB2850 amends the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act by adding the Deployed Parents Allocation of Parental Responsibilities Part. This part allows service members to notify the other parent of deployment within 7 days. It enables parents to create temporary agreements for parental responsibilities during deployment and allows courts to issue temporary orders for parental responsibilities. Visitation rights for non-parents can be granted if there is an unreasonable denial of visitation by a parent causing harm to the child.
