Illinois SB2827 amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act to expand the definition of "perpetrator" to include certain adults and agencies.

Illinois SB2827 amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act by expanding the definition of "perpetrator" to include a child's parent, a parent's paramour, or any other person 14 years of age or older who is responsible for the child's welfare, an immediate family member, or residing in the same home as the child. The bill also includes agencies responsible for the child's welfare as potential perpetrators.
