SB2818 amends the Chicago Teacher Pension Code to modify election procedures for trustees. Trustees elected by contributors who are not administrators must be nominated by a petition signed by at least 200 contributors who are not administrators. Petitions must be filed by October 1 of the election year. If nominations do not exceed the number of candidates to be elected, the nominated candidates are declared elected. Otherwise, the three candidates receiving the highest number of votes are declared elected.
