SB2818 amends the Illinois Pension Code to modify the election process for trustees by contributors who are not administrators. It changes the deadline for filing candidacy petitions from September 15 to October 1 of the election year. If the number of nominations does not exceed the number of candidates to be elected, the nominated candidate is declared elected. Otherwise, the candidate receiving the highest number of votes is declared elected.
