SB2784 amends the Circuit Courts Act to prevent the creation of any additional judgeships in the 6th judicial circuit by Public Act 102-693 and this amendatory Act. It also mandates that the conversion of at-large judgeships to resident judgeships in the 6th judicial circuit does not entitle the circuit to any additional circuit judgeships elected at-large. Additionally, the bill amends the Associate Judges Act to require one additional associate judge to be appointed in the 7th circuit. This Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
