SB2752 prohibits fundraising by certain officials and candidates during legislative sessions.
SB2752 amends the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act to restrict political fundraising by executive branch constitutional officers, candidates for such offices, General Assembly members, and candidates for the General Assembly. These individuals and their political committees cannot hold fundraising events on days when the legislature is in session or the day immediately before or after. The restriction does not apply to events scheduled at least 14 days before a special session or the day before or after. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
