SB2726 amends Illinois Election Code to regulate pollwatchers, establish campaign free zones, and prevent voter intimidation.

SB2726 amends the Illinois Election Code to regulate pollwatchers, establish campaign free zones, and prevent voter intimidation. Pollwatchers must present credentials to election judges and cannot interfere with election proceedings. Campaign free zones are established 100 feet from polling places, within which electioneering is prohibited. Law enforcement agents must present valid credentials to enter polling places. The bill also outlines procedures for appointing pollwatchers for political parties, candidates, and civic organizations.
