SB2680 amends Illinois laws to enhance privacy protections for government officials and their families.

SB2680 amends the Government Official Judicial Privacy Act to strengthen privacy protections for government officials and their families. It prohibits the public posting of personal information of government officials and their immediate family members on the internet. It also mandates that government agencies, businesses, and individuals remove such information from publicly available content upon request. The bill allows government officials to seek injunctive or declaratory relief if their personal information is disclosed in violation of the Act.
