Illinois SB2674 prohibits installation of components from certain countries on renewable energy devices.

Illinois SB2674, known as the Rogue Component Installation Prevention Act, bans public utilities, local governments, and school districts from installing components on renewable energy devices made by specified countries of concern. These countries include the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Syria. The act requires distributors, manufacturers, or sellers of renewable energy devices to report component details, including the date of manufacture, country of origin, and manufacturer location, to several government entities.
