SB2462 amends the Illinois Pension Code to prohibit retirement systems from investing in certain companies.

SB2462 amends the Illinois Pension Code to prohibit retirement systems from investing in companies that boycott Israel, for-profit companies that contract to shelter migrant children, Iran-restricted companies, Sudan-restricted companies, expatriated entities, companies domiciled in Russia or Belarus, and companies subject to Russian Harmful Foreign Activities Sanctions. The Illinois Investment Policy Board must identify these restricted companies and notify retirement systems. Retirement systems must divest from these companies and report on their efforts.
