The Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF) Act establishes a PRTF program in Illinois. The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services must establish the PRTF program, which includes certification and participation requirements for PRTF providers, monitoring and oversight of PRTF services, and a limit on allowable beds at any one PRTF. The Department must also establish a PRTF Advisory Committee to review and provide guidance on the Department's policies and implementations of the PRTF program.
