SB2409 amends the Swimming Facility Act to mandate unique design criteria and general standards for above-ground pools.

SB2409 amends the Swimming Facility Act by requiring the Department of Public Health to adopt rules that include unique design criteria and general standards for above-ground pools. These rules must also address the prevention of bather entrapment or entanglement at swimming facilities. Bather preparation facilities, including dressing rooms, toilets, and showers, must be available for patrons, except as specified by Department rules.
