SB2399

SPORTS WAGER-AFFORD PROTECT

Introduced·2/7/25
Introduced Text

SB2399 amends the Sports Wagering Act to limit deposits and require affordability checks for sports wagering licensees.

SB2399 amends the Sports Wagering Act by adding affordability protections for sports wagering licensees. It prohibits licensees from accepting more than five deposits from an individual in a 24-hour period and from accepting deposits made by credit card. Additionally, before accepting deposits over $1,000 in a 24-hour period or $10,000 in a 30-day period, licensees must conduct an affordability check. This check can be satisfied by verifying that the proposed deposit does not exceed 25% of the patron's monthly income.
