Illinois SB2363, the Light Detection and Ranging Technology Security Act, mandates that state infrastructure in Illinois must not include LIDAR equipment from companies based in countries deemed a security risk. These countries include China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Syria, or any other country the Governor identifies in consultation with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security.
