Illinois SB2303 amends the Fire Sprinkler Contractor Licensing Act to increase penalties for those offering fire sprinkler services without a license. The civil penalty for each offense rises from $10,000 to $50,000. A second offense within 24 months incurs a minimum penalty of $10,000, while more than two offenses within 24 months incur a minimum penalty of $25,000. All penalties are deposited into the Fire Prevention Fund. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
