Illinois SB2303 amends the Fire Sprinkler Contractor Licensing Act to impose civil penalties on individuals or businesses offering fire sprinkler services without a license. The penalty for each offense is up to $50,000, with a minimum of $10,000 for a second offense within 24 months and $25,000 for more than two offenses within that period. All penalties are deposited into the Fire Prevention Fund. The Office assesses the penalties after a hearing. The Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
