Illinois SB2297 allows state agencies and public higher education institutions to designate procurements as continuous improvement procurements to.

Illinois SB2297 amends the Illinois Procurement Code to introduce continuous improvement procurements. This allows state agencies and public institutions of higher education to request certain procurements be designated as continuous improvement procurements. These procurements can be resolicited at least annually, with a minimum six-month interval between resolicitations, using the same evaluation criteria. Awarded respondents from the initial solicitation remain awarded unless they opt out. This aims to promote broader inclusion of small and diverse firms in state procurements.
