Illinois SB2203, the Preventing Algorithmic Discrimination Act, requires deployers of automated decision tools to conduct annual impact assessments to map, measure, manage, and govern risks of algorithmic discrimination. Deployers must notify individuals when automated decision tools are used in consequential decisions and provide details about the tool. The Act also mandates the establishment of governance programs with safeguards to address foreseeable risks of algorithmic discrimination.
