Limits junk mail sent to Illinois residents by for-profit and non-profit entities.
The Paper Waste Reduction Act restricts the amount of unsolicited junk mail that for-profit and non-profit entities can send to Illinois residents. For-profit corporations, associations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and other legal entities are limited to sending junk mail no more than two times per year unless the recipient contacts the sender or requests continued mailings. Non-profit organizations are limited to six times per year under the same conditions.
