Illinois SB2099 amends the Athletic Trainers Practice Act by creating a requirement for the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to notify athletic trainers at least 30 days before their license expires. The bill also provides that if an athletic trainer's license has been expired for no longer than 5 years, and they were practicing in another jurisdiction during the period of expiration, the Department shall waive any restoration fee or lapsed renewal fee for restoration of that license. This waiver also applies to athletic trainers engaged in federal service or training.
