SB2048 amends the Nurse Practice Act to redefine registered professional nursing practice as a scientific process based on professional knowledge and skills. It specifies that registered professional nurses can delegate nursing interventions and tasks to other registered professional nurses and licensed practical nurses based on a comprehensive nursing assessment. Registered professional nurses can also delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel based on the same assessment.
