SB2037

DIGITAL AGE ASSURANCE ACT

Introduced·2/6/25
Introduced Text

Digital Age Assurance Act requires device manufacturers to implement age verification for minors.

The Digital Age Assurance Act mandates that device manufacturers, including those of operating systems and application stores, take steps to determine or estimate the age of device users. This includes providing a digital signal to websites and online services about the user's age. For devices sold after the Act's effective date, manufacturers must implement features to help parents manage their children's online activities. Websites and services offering mature content must block access for users under 18 and provide disclaimers.
