Illinois SB2013 mandates clear disclosures for third-party hotel booking services.

Illinois SB2013 amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act by requiring third-party hotel booking services to provide clear and conspicuous disclosures to consumers. These disclosures must be presented before any offer or information about a physical accommodation, before any personal information is requested, and through the same means as the consumer's communication with the service. The disclosure must be easily understandable and not require additional actions from the consumer. Effective January 1, 2026.
