Illinois SB1989 amends the Sanitary District Act of 1917 to permit the Bloomington and Normal Water Reclamation District to enter into agreements to sell, convey, or disburse treated wastewater to private entities located within 50 miles of the District's boundaries. The agreement cannot exceed 30 years. The act also allows the Sanitary District of Decatur or the Bloomington and Normal Water Reclamation District to accept wastewater for treatment from private entities within the same 50-mile radius.
