SB1967 amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law to revise the grant distribution for tourism and convention bureaus. Beginning in Fiscal Year 2026, the Department shall advance grant funds to certified bureaus that received funding in the prior fiscal year. The advanced amount will be equal to 50% of the total grant awarded to each bureau in the prior fiscal year. The Department may reserve up to 3% of total local tourism funds for administrative costs, incentive funds for promotional activities, and funding for statewide promotional activities.
