Introduced Text

Illinois SB1913 mandates criminal background checks for employees placed in child care facilities by contracted entities.

Illinois SB1913 amends the Child Care Act of 1969 to require entities contracting with the Department of Children and Family Services, the Department of Early Childhood, a child care facility, or a non-licensed service provider to conduct criminal background checks on employees placed in child care facilities. Each entity must submit the employee's fingerprints to the Illinois State Police, which will check against criminal history records.
