Illinois SB1899 amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act to allow individuals charged with weapon-related offenses and sentenced to a diversionary program to apply for a Firearm Owner's Identification Card before receiving a court order demonstrating completion of the program. The Illinois State Police must issue the card upon receiving the court order if the individual is otherwise eligible.
