SB1883 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to prohibit obstructing vehicle registration plates and related stickers. It makes it unlawful to operate a vehicle with registration plates or stickers that are altered, obscured, or hidden by devices. The bill also prohibits selling, offering for sale, or advertising registration plate covers. Additionally, it bans modifying the original mounting location of registration plates and stickers, and prohibits affixing tape or other objects to registration plates or stickers.
