Establishes the State Disability Ombudsperson within the Department of Human Rights to advocate for disabled persons.

The State Disability Ombudsperson Act creates a dedicated office within the Department of Human Rights to advocate for the rights of disabled persons. The Ombudsperson will provide a toll-free number for information and resources, develop a process for receiving and reviewing complaints, and establish procedures for referrals to disability rights organizations and legal advocacy. The Ombudsperson will also submit an annual report to the General Assembly detailing activities, trends, and recommendations for statutory reform.
