Increases rates for adult day services and transportation in Illinois.
The bill amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to increase rates for adult day services and transportation under the Community Care Program. Subject to federal approval, rates for adult day services will increase to $17.84 per hour and rates for transportation services will increase to $12.44 per unit. The bill also mandates that rates in subsequent fiscal years cannot be lower than the rates set by this act. The Department of Aging is required to ensure that providers of in-home services comply with the mandated wage increases for direct service workers.
