Illinois SB1809 modifies video gaming tax distribution for municipalities with populations over 2 million.
Illinois SB1809 amends the Video Gaming Act to change how taxes from video gaming are distributed. For municipalities with populations of 2 million or more, 11/15 of the tax collected will go to the Capital Projects Fund and 4/15 to the Local Government with Greater than 2,000,000 Residents Video Gaming Distributive Fund. For smaller municipalities, 5/6 of the tax goes to the Capital Projects Fund and 1/6 to the Local Government Video Gaming Distributive Fund.
