SB1796 amends the Law Enforcement Officer-Worn Body Camera Act to modify disclosure and retention rules for recordings made by officer-worn body cameras. It specifies that recordings may be disclosed to the subject of the encounter, their legal representative, the officer who made the recording, their legal representative, and others with written permission. Recordings must be retained for at least 90 days unless flagged for retention. Flagged recordings must be retained until the conclusion of any related investigation or legal proceeding.
