SB1785 amends the Unified Code of Corrections to allow the Prisoner Review Board to reduce the parole or mandatory supervised release terms of offenders by 90 days for each earned high school diploma, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, career certificate, or vocational technical certification, or for passing high school equivalency testing. This reduction is available only to offenders who have not previously earned the relevant credential. The bill also allows the Board to revoke supervision credit earned for parole or mandatory supervised release violations.
