Illinois SB1671 amends product liability laws to hold sellers, online marketplaces, and high-volume third-party sellers jointly liable with.

Illinois SB1671 amends the Code of Civil Procedure to modify product liability actions. If a product was manufactured outside the United States and is sold through an online marketplace, the seller, online marketplace, and high-volume third-party seller are jointly and severally liable with the manufacturer for any harm caused by the product. Definitions for "seller," "online marketplace," and "high-volume third-party seller" are as per the Illinois Integrity, Notification, and Fairness in Online Retail Marketplaces for Consumers Act.
