SB1663 amends the Illinois Election Code to establish minimum vote center requirements for general elections. Election authorities must designate a minimum number of vote centers based on the number of registered voters in the county. For counties with at least 250,000 registered voters, one vote center must be designated for every 75,000 voters in the period from the 15th day before the election to the 5th day before the election, one for every 20,000 voters from the 4th day before the election to the day before the election, and one for every 12,500 voters on the day of the election.
