SB1650

SB1650 amends the Illinois Election Code to require additional early voting and grace period registration and voting at student unions on public.

SB1650 amends the Illinois Election Code to mandate that each election authority conduct early voting, grace period registration, and grace period voting at the student union on the campus of a public university within their jurisdiction. This voting must occur from the 6th day before a general primary or general election until the day before, and on the day of a general primary or general election. The bill also allows for the extension of these voting provisions to any registered voter if the election authority has voting equipment that can accommodate all required ballot forms.
