SB1624 amends the Illinois Liquor Control Act of 1934 by changing the bond requirements for liquor manufacturers and importing distributors. The bill exempts first-time applicants for a manufacturer's or importing distributor's license from the bond requirement. It also exempts manufacturers and importers with less than $50,000 in tax liability from the bond requirement. The bill specifies that the Illinois Liquor Control Commission cannot renew a license if the applicant has not filed a satisfactory bond with the Department of Revenue.
