SB1614 amends the State Finance Act to allow the Secretary of State to maintain a petty cash fund in excess of $1,000, solely for the purpose of making change, at any Secretary of State Motor Vehicle Facility. These funds may be retained on the premises of the facility. The bill also provides rules for State agencies to use purchasing cards for small purchases, replacing the need for petty cash funds in most cases.
