SB1583 allows the State Superintendent of Education to designate regional offices or centers as learning partners for school improvement.

SB1583 amends the School Code to enable the State Superintendent of Education to designate regional offices of education or intermediate service centers as learning partners. This designation allows these entities to provide services to schools identified for improvement under the accountability system and the definitions for Targeted, Comprehensive, or Intensive support. The status of learning partner can be revoked at the State Superintendent's discretion. This change takes effect July 1, 2025.
