SB1461 amends the Illinois Pension Code to allow certain employees to transfer service credit from the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) to a downstate police pension fund. It removes a restrictive date on the transfer of service credit and authorizes investigators for the Secretary of State and conservation police officers to transfer that service credit. It also allows State's Attorneys to transfer service credit under the IMRF Article to the State Employee Article.
