Introduced·1/31/25
Introduced Text

SB1450 amends the Illinois Pension Code to adjust how service credit is calculated for contributors.

SB1450 modifies the Illinois Pension Code by changing how service credit is computed for contributors. Contributors will receive the greater of one day of service credit for each day they are paid or 10 days of service credit for each 10-day period in which they worked 50% or more of the regularly scheduled hours. This change affects how service credit is calculated for both days and months of validated service.
