SB1392

DENTAL INSURANCE ASSIGNABILITY

Complete·8/1/25

Illinois SB1392 allows assignability of dental insurance claims to healthcare professionals or facilities.

Illinois SB1392 amends the Illinois Insurance Code to ensure that no law prohibits an insured under any policy of dental insurance or accident and health insurance from assigning their rights and privileges under the policy. This includes the right to designate a beneficiary and to have an individual policy issued. If an enrollee or insured assigns a claim to a health care professional, health care facility, dental care provider, or dental care facility, payment shall be made directly to them, including any required interest. This Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
