SB1343 amends the Department of Central Management Services Law to expand the Department's property management and leasing powers.

SB1343 amends the Department of Central Management Services Law to grant the Department expanded powers over the management, operation, maintenance, and preservation of state properties. The Department can now manage, operate, maintain, and preserve all real properties, including state buildings and facilities. It can also grant and accept easements for these properties. The Department is authorized to lease or sublease portions of these properties for up to 15 years, subject to renewals, if it determines the leases will be in the best interests of the state.
