SB1343 amends the Department of Central Management Services Law to expand the authority of the Department of Central Management Services over certain state properties. The bill grants the Department the power to manage, operate, maintain, and preserve from waste real properties, including the ability to grant and accept easements. It also allows the Department to rent portions of these properties for terms up to 30 days. The bill removes the James R. Thompson Center from the list of properties managed by the Department and adds 115 South LaSalle Street to the list.
