Illinois SB1333 amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to allow the Illinois State Police to recognize concealed carry permits from contiguous states with similar requirements. Nonresidents with valid permits from these states can carry concealed firearms in Illinois. If a nonresident with a recognized permit establishes legal residence in Illinois, their permit remains valid for 90 days. The Illinois State Police must enter into reciprocal agreements with contiguous states that recognize Illinois permits.
