Allows municipalities to install specialized traffic control devices for emergency response vehicles.

The bill amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow municipalities or local governments to install specialized traffic control devices at intersections where emergency response vehicles enter the roadway or within 1,000 feet of structures where such vehicles are stored. These devices can be controlled by the emergency response unit or fire station as the vehicle enters or exits traffic.
