SB1211 amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to modify where concealed firearms can be carried.

SB1211 amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act by changing the list of prohibited areas for carrying concealed firearms. It eliminates the prohibition on carrying firearms in rest areas under the control of the Department of Transportation and in buildings, real property, and parking areas under the control of public transportation facilities. It also removes the ban on carrying firearms in public parks, athletic areas, and athletic facilities under the control of municipalities or park districts.
