SB0689 amends the Illinois Pension Code to ensure that the provisions of the Act authorizing municipal corporations to preserve civil service and pension rights of their employees inducted into or enlisting in the land or naval forces of the United States, or ordered to active duty in the military or naval forces of the State, apply to preserve pension rights of employees subject to this Code.
