SB0284

SB0284 amends the Illinois Criminal Code to restrict child sex offenders from engaging in certain activities near minors and to prohibit plea.

SB0284 amends the Illinois Criminal Code to impose restrictions on child sex offenders, prohibiting them from being present near certain locations where minors are present, such as schools, public parks, and day care centers. It also prohibits child sex offenders from operating or being associated with facilities providing programs or services exclusively directed toward minors under 18. The bill mandates that grooming is a Class 4 felony and prohibits plea bargains for involuntary sexual servitude of a minor or trafficking in persons if the victim is under 18.
