The Hospital Price Transparency Act mandates that hospitals publish detailed lists of standard charges for all hospital items and services on their websites. These lists must include gross charges, payor-specific negotiated charges, de-identified minimum and maximum negotiated charges, and discounted cash prices. Hospitals must also maintain a list of standard charges for at least 300 shoppable services, including descriptions, billing codes, and third-party payors. Additionally, hospitals must disclose facility fees to patients at the time of scheduling and service rendering.
